A student studying in BP Koirala Secondary School of Shantinagar rural municipality-3 of Dang has sustained broken finger after being beaten by a teacher of the school. 15-year-old Sushil Budhathoki, a 9th grade student of the school broke his left finger after teacher, Udayaraj Bhandari physically assaulted him. He also reportedly sustained blue marks throughout his body in the assault and has also sustained fractured hand, according to District Police Office Dang spokesperson Rajan Kumar Gautam.
The accused teacher claimed that he had only intervened at a fight between Budhathoki and another student and the boy's finger fractured after accidentally being hit with stick. Police have stated that they would register complaint against the teacher if the boy's parents came forward to press charge formally.
