Dhiraj Yadav, an 18-year-old boy of Mukhiyapattu Musaharniya rural municipality-1, alleged that he was brutally assaulted by police on September 8 in police custody. The victim's side alleged that due to the assault, the accused sustained injuries on his hands, knees, feet etc.
Sanjay Sah lodged a complaint against Dhiraj Yadav in the District Police Office Dhanusha on August 29 on the charge of indecent behavior during a clash between two parties at a cultural program organized in the village on August 28. Police arrested Rampukar Yadav, Raju Yadav, Lakshmi Yadav, Pappu Yadav, Tuntun Yadav, and Mithilesh Yadav of Mukhiapatti Musaharnia rural Municipality-1 along with Dhiraj as they were involved in the clash between the two sides during a cultural program in the village. DSP Pradip Bahadur Chhetri of District Police Office Dhanusha denied the allegation made by the victim's side. Nepali Congress Leader and Minister of Physical Infrastructure Development of Madhes Province Government Ram Saroj Yadav, Dhanusha Party Chairman of Nepali Congress Yogendra Panjiar, Provincial Member Jeevanath Chaudhary, and other leaders and workers reached the hospital and inquired about the health condition of the victim.
