Police accused of beating public in Dhanusha

ASI Gaya Prasad Chaudhary and Police Constable Dharmendra Prasad Sah of District Police Office Dhanusha allegedly physically assaulted 18-year-old Sumit Kumar Yadav and his 38-year-old mother Nirmala Devi Yadav, residing in Janakpurdham sub-metropolitan city-4 Machabazar, on September 21. Police accused Yadav of trying to cheat the police on the regular check-up when he forgot to bring the documents of vehicles and license. 

The victim's brother Lavkumar Yadav alleged that the police got suspicious and followed Sumit to the house and took him out of the house and assaulted him with a pipe. The victim alleged that the police beat Sumit Kumar Yadav after consuming alcohol. Ravi Chaudhary, an eyewitness of the incident, said that the police hit Nirmala Devi Yadav on the head with a helmet. The victim alleged that Ravi Chaudhary was also physically assaulted by the police for recording the video of the incident. The injured are being treated at Janaki Health Care in Janakpurdham. Dr. Sasishekhar Adhikari, a doctor at Janaki Health Care. 

DSP Pradeep Bahadur Chhetri of District Police Office Dhanusha alleged that 25-year-old Ravi Chaudhary and 26-year-old Dipesh Jha were arrested for assaulting the police. DSP Chhetri said that the allegation that policeman Gaya Prasad Yadav  are baseless since he is pure vegetarian food and does not eat meat or alcohol.
