Dalit man physically assaulted for entering a temple in Bajura

A Dalit man was assaulted for entering a temple in Bajura. Tekendra Sunar, a Dalit man was assaulted while he was attending a prayer at a temple in Nateshwori temple of Tribenu municipality-7. According to DSP Surya Bahadur Thapa, a group under Tribeni municipality-7 ward chairperson Juddha Bahadur Aidi beat Sunar for entering the temple. According to DSP Thapa, police had taken ward chairperson Aidi into control for investigation into the incident. Sunar also accused the group of looting Rs 60,000 in his possession.
