Professional organizations associated with journalists including Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ) staged a sit-in in front of Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RaSaSa) on October 14, against the expulsion of twenty-two journalists. After the RaSaSa management took action to expel the journalists, the temporary/contract/salaried journalist struggle committee of the RaSaSa and the participation of representatives of professional associations including the Federation of Nepalese Journalists took part in the sit-in.
