Bomb Explosion in Capital

A sutali bomb has been detonated at Thapathali in Kathmandu Metropolis-11 on November 22.

The improvised explosive device (IED) was detonated in front of the United Mission to Nepal (UMN) office in Upakar Marga at around 2.25 pm, Metropolitan Police Sector Singhadurbar said. Police informed that pieces of jute strings were found scattered at the site.

Leaflets of Nepal Defense Army have been found at the explosion site, according to police.

Another sutali bomb which failed to detonate was diffused by security persons, Fauzdar Rai, a UMN staff said.

The explosion caused no human or physical damage.
