The industrialists of Rupandehi have demonstrated against the increase in interest rates by banks and financial institutions. The protest was organized jointly by the Butwal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Siddharth Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Tilottama Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Devdah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Sainamaina Chamber of Commerce and Industry.  The leaders of the industrialists complained that the private sector, which was affected by the epidemic of Covid-19, had to be closed due to a lack of liquidity and high-interest rates.
