Singer Bunu Upreti was physically assaulted in Mahalaxmi Municipality-6 Tikathali in Lalitpur by locals during a dispute over encroaching public road. The locals had filed a complaint in the ward and police station Satdobato saying that Uprety had encroached the road by placing flower vases on the road. Locals attacked her when there was a dispute over the matter. DSP Madan KC of Metropolitan Police Circle Satdobato stated that the police was preparing to mediate the dispute between the two parties.
