The Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce-Tulsipur committee shut down the market in Tulsipur on November 30, after a local club 'Youth of Tulsipur' made preparation to organize fair from December 1 in ward no 6, Hattikhauwa of Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan.
The FNCCI committee condemned the fair stating that it will mar the local business holders. They warned to shut down the market as well as transportation for infinite time from December 1, if all the items brought for fair are not returned back.
"The winter season has just started. It's the time to sell winter clothes. If the fair is organized now, it will mar the local business holders", said Ram Prasad Chalise, chairperson of FNCCI-Tulsipur. He further said that the social club doesn't have the jurisdiction to organize business fairs. "In case they are to organize any fairs, then it should be organized only after January 30.", he added.
