Congress cadres sustains injury after being beaten by UML cadres in Dolpa

37-year-old Lokendra Shahi of Tripurasundari Municipality-8 Dagin in Dolpa district sustained serious injuries after being physically assaulted by CPN-UML cadres 35-year-old Kishu Rokaya of Tripurasundari municipality-7 Chhalghar, 37-year-old Hira Rokaya, 40-year-old Jayalal Rokaya, 27-year-old Bish KC and 39 year-old Birsingh Budha. According to police, Lokendra was beaten during a dispute at a volleyball game held in Kasturi primary school of Tripurasundari municipality-7.
The UML cadres reportedly attacked Lokendra with a wooden according to a complaint filed by the victim at Pahada police post on January 14. Lokendra who sustained deep cut on his head was referred to Nepalgunj after he could not be treated at Dolpa district hospital.
Police stated that they arrested those involved in the assault and sent them to custody for further investigation on January 16.
