Durga Lal Shrestha the ward in-charge of Palungtar municipality-2 CPN-Maoist reportedly  physically assaulting Ashok Bhatta the personal secretary of Mayor Bibas Chintan of Palungtar municipality in Gorkha. According to Bhatta who is also affiliated to CPN-Maoist party, the accused physically assaulted him in his office on January 21 over the issue of expense during election. The victim sustained injuries on his left cheek and neck.
