Police arrested six people on February 2 on the charge of abducting and trafficking a 16-year-old teenage girl in India. According to the police, the victim disappeared on December 3, 2022. The accused brought the victim girl from Dhading to Kathmandu on December 3, 2022 and kept her as a hostage in Kathmandu until January 3,  after tempting her to get more money if Tantrik Baba was happy. The victim was then trafficked to India on January 4, after checking up her body.
