Surendra Raut a tentatively 50-year-old man murdered Haridevi Raut Sharma a 70-year-old man of Jaleshwor municipality-5 on February 8. According to the eyewitness, the accused first verbally abused him and then physically assaulted him until he was dead. They further alleged that the accused was under the influence of drugs. The locals accused the police did not save the victim even though the accused was assaulting him in their presence.
