A person in his forties was found dead in a suspicious circumstance in Sainamaina municipality-2 of Rupandehi on March 8. Police speculated that the victim might have been murdered because he sustained an injury in his head from a sharp weapon. The identity of the deceased has not been established yet.

Police arrested Shishir Tharu living in Sainamaina municipality-2, Dhruv Bisi living in Arghakhanchi living in Sainamaina-2, Sher Bahadur Bohora aka Sandip working in Sainamaina Bawri Hotel living in Nawalparasi Bardghat on the charge of murdering the victim. According to the police, the three accused and the victim was drinking alcohol together and over a minor dispute, the accused planned the murder of the victim while they were heavily influenced by alcohol. Police further added that the accused's intention was to loot the cash that the victim possessed.
