Nepal Students Union, student wing of Nepali Congress padlocked Nepal Sanskrit University, Central Bidhyapith at Beljhundi, Dang over a dispute related to upcoming Free Students Union elections. The student group blamed the campus administration for conducting different activities with an intention to influence the elections.

They blamed campus administration for showing an intention to not held the elections on the scheduled date favoring some un-named student wing in the campus. In the memorandum which NSU made public after padlocking the campus, it asked for resignation from Bidhyapith Administrative Chief and  urged the administration to continue preparations for FSU elections as the candidacy registration process is already completed.
