Tara Acharya Hamal, 24, of Birat VDC-7 has filed a complaint against her husband Dabal Bahadur Hamal, 26, at Women and Children Service Center on October 19 accusing him of domestic violence. In her complaint, Tara claimed that she had been living at her maternal home after being ill-treated by Dabal Bahadur. She added that she decided to file the complaint after he began coming to her maternal home and threatened and assaulted her. She had been living at the maternal home located at Janchgaon in Dhapa VDC-2 for the last two years with her 2-year-old son. SI Sushila Gurung said that due legal process would be initiated on her complaint.
