Dhadhing, Chora laai jiudai jalane prayas. DHADING, OCT 22 - District Police Office, Dhading , has arrested a man who attempted to murder his own three children. Balaram Bishwakarma, a resident of Nalang-6, locked up his three sons into a room and torched the house on Saturday, said police. Although the villagers were able to rescue the three children, one among them, Laxman, sustained serious burn injuries in the incident. He has sustained serious burn injuries on his arms, shoulder and head. Chakra Bahadur Bishwakarma, the grandfather of the children, is now in the district headquarters for the treatment of the injured child. Stating that he could not bear the cost of the child’s treatment due to the poor financial condition of the family, the septuagenarian asked all for monetary help. “He (Balaram), under the influence of alcohol, torched the house in a fit of rage after his wife eloped,” said Chakra Bahadur, adding that his daughter-in-law ran away as Balaram used to beat her severely. Woman and children development officer Bhula Bhandari said that district child welfare board provided Rs 5,000 as immediate help to the victims.
