A complaint was lodged against Keshab Raj Gautam a-year-old teacher on April 30 on the charge of physically assaulting his 8-year-old student of a school located at Baglung municipality-7. The victim alleges that on April 30, the child was beaten in the classroom and injured on the head, saying that the socket that was being used for the water pipe leading to teacher Gautam's house while drinking water from the school tap on April 29 was lost. A discussion on this matter was held between the teachers and the victims in the afternoon of Baisakh 19 at the city education branch of Baglung Municipality.
City Education Officer Dhan Prasad Pokharel informed that the teacher accepted the mistake and apologized to the victim, paid all the medical expenses along with compensation, and discussed that the school would transfer Gautam from that school to another school, but the victim refused and decided to go to the police. DSP Madan KC of District Police Office Baglung said that the police were sent to arrest the accused teacher after the complaint of the victim.
