Rescued 10 Children Handed Over to Guardians

Five children from Okhle VDC-2, three from Okhle VDC-6 and two from Rupatar VDC-9 were being taken to Kathmandu to be employed at a brick kiln and were rescued by the police on November 4. The children are aged between 12 and 15. APO Katari’s DSP Saroj Poudel said that the children were handed over to the guardians in the presence of the local journalists, district and metropolitan children network. The children were being taken to Kathamndu by Santosh Biswakarma, 24, and Sharmila Majhi of Rupatar VDC-9 when they were intercepted by the police at Katari Bazaar.
