Mahottari, Balika bechbhikhan ko arop ma yubak purpachya ka lagi jail chalan. District court of Mahottari has remanded Pradeep Jha, 22, of Nainhi VDC-2 in custody on December 22 on charge of attempting to traffick a 16-year-old girl from Kathmandu to India. According to DPO Mahottari, the accused was arrested by Bhittamod police post on November 27 while he was attempting to traffick the girl in India by luring her. DSP Lokendra Shrestha said that the victim was handed over to her family whereas the accused was charged under human trafficking act. The accused was remanded in custody at Jaleshwor after the court issued its verdict regarding the case.
