One Arrested on Charge of Girl’s Rape

Police have arrested Phanindra Bahadur Karki of Prapchan VDC-9 and assistant computer operator at Vocational and Skill Development Training Centre on December 26 on charge of raping an 11-year-old girl.
Karki was arrested on the basis of the complaints filed by the girl’s guardians and the statement of the girl, Okhaldhunga DPO’s Inspector Baidhynath Yadav.
Medical checkup of the girl was conducted at District Hospital, Rumjatar. The family members said her condition was stable. According to the charge sheet, Karki had raped her on December 23.
