Bandh Affects Normal Life Nationwide

Nationwide indefinite bandh called by various political parties including Tharuhat Terai Party, Nepal Deshbhakta Party, Tamuwan Rastriya Parisad, Rastriya Tamang Ekta Manch, Samykta Adibasi Sangharsha Samti with the demands of immediate dissolution of the Constituent Assembly, formation of national civic government through a roundtable conference in the presence of all parties and ethnicities, and announcement for new national elections for fresh mandate among others affected normal life in various districts on November 23.

 

According Pokhara based INSEC western regional office, vehicles plying to long and short routes stayed off the roads while markets, schools and industries remained closed in various districts including Kapilvastu, Rupandehi and Nawalparasi.

 

INSEC mid-western regional office in Nepalgunj has reported that ambulances, vehicles belonging to essentials services, and those of diplomatic mission and human rights institutions plied without any obstruction while private and public vehicles stayed office the roads and schools, markets and industries remained shut in different districts including Dang, Bardiya, Banke, Surkhet and Rolpa.

 

The bandh had similar impact in Kailali and Kanchapur districts, INSEC far western regional office in Dhangadhi reported.
