Two Trafficked Children Rescued for India

A 12-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy, who were sold as domestic workers in India, have been rescued by the Area Police Office, Rani on January 17. SI Anirudra Bhujel and his team brought the children back from Subhas Chok of Farbisgunj with the support of different organizations. The children, hailing from Singjong VDC-8, Nuwakot were sold by local Mui Lama alias Kale who brought them to India via Kathmandu. The children were found crying on the road after escaping from the place by a local of Farbisgunj Dinesh Mandal who informed Nepal Police about them on January 16. The children are currently being kept at Sana Hat. Inspector Om Prakash Khanal of Area Police Office, Rani said that they were coordinating with Nuwakot police to hand over the children to their guardians adding police were searching for the perpetrator.
