UCPN (Maoist) has said that it will now reach out to the people as the ruling parties NC and UML did not listen to them. For this, the party has assigned the top three leaders of the party with the responsibility to lead the protests in different parts of the country. Party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' is designated to take lead of the protests in the central part of the country. Likewise, vice-chairman Narayankaji Shrestha and senior leader Dr. Baburam Bhattarai were designated as commanders of the eastern and western part of the country respectively. Speaking at the press meet organized at the party headquarters in Paris Danda on Sunday, Dahal said that the NC and UML are on a project to eliminate his party. He further stated that this was the same reason why the NC and UML did not come to consensus even though UCPN (Maoist) exhibited utmost flexibility in the disputed issues. Dahal also clarified that the party is not leaving the capital as reported in some media.
