Accused rapist sentenced to five years in prison

The district court has sentenced 31-year-old Durga Nepali of Oyam VDC-1 to five years in prison on the charge of raping a woman. Police had detained Nepali under custody to investigate reported incident. A single bench of district court justice Prakash Dhungana issued the verdict on February 8. The court decision also fined the accused rapist rupees twenty-five thousand to compensate the victim.
