People of dalit community residing in Bathnaha-vdc 5,6,7 and 8 of Mahottari are in the risk of being homeless after the Indian SSB ordered them to evacuate the land they have been residing on for years near Nepal-India border. About 300 dalit families are currently residing there. The dalit community lamented that they have neither any land, houses or any other resourses to move to new place after the SSB ordered them to evacuate the place they have been now living on. The SSB reportedly threatened to bulldoze all houses in the area if they did not evacuate the place within the next five days.
