Home Minister has stated that its attention was drawn towards the use of baton in the rally organized by UCPN-M-led front of 30 political parties. Issued by the Home Ministry’s spokesperson, Laxmi Prasad Dhakal on February 25, Home Ministry said that the baton march had terrorized the people. The Ministry has also urged the concerned parties not to resort to the illegal activity of overriding law in the name of showing one’s strength adding a warning that such activities would be dealt in pursuant with the law in the future. The youth wing of UCPN-M had wielded bamboo batons in a rally on February 24 and also thrashed some people.
