Area Police Office, Lahan has stopped an impending marriage of a 16-year-old girl of Lahan Municipality-11 with an Indian national on February 26. Pattulal Ram, 42, of Biharipur, Baraili of India had allured the girl’s father to marry her off with him. The police team arrived at the site after getting a tip-off from the local, said APO, Lahan’s DSP Gyanendra Prasad Phuyal. DSP Phuyal said that the girl’s marriage was called off after the girl’s party agreed to marry her off only once she reaches legal age. Durga Pariyar
