A 32-year-old man in Dharan -10 has been arrested on the charge of raping a 13-year-old Dalit girl. Sajid Ansari was arrested on Saturday after locals came to know about the incident and informed the police. DSP Sudan Kumar Sijapati said Ansari lured the victim, an orphan, to his rented room giving her some cash and promising to buy jewellery before committing the crime. The victim said Ansari gave her Rs 50 after the crime and threatened to kill her if she disclosed the matter. After learning that Ansari had raped the minor, the locals had locked his door from outside. DSP Sijapati said a medical test of the victim has confirmed the rape. The accused, however, said that they had physical relation in consent.
