Rupsi Kulal of Tripurakot VDC-3 was arrested by the police on the charges of accusing another woman, Suwa Shahi of being a witch and insulting her in a public place. During a dispute over collecting  water in a public tap Rupsi Kulal reportedly beat and insulted the other woman calling her a witch and thief. Police arrested the accused based on an FIR filed by the victim on April 1. Police said that they would initiate further action against the accused after calling the victim.
