Followers of religious leader Swami Kamalnayanacharya blocked vehicle movement along the East-West Highway in Nawalparasi district demanding the reinstating of the Hindu kingdom. Nawalparasi police said hundreds of passengers traveling along the highway were stranded in the jungle when supporters of the leader demonstrated at Gaidakot, Dumkauli, Rajhar, Kawasoti, Dumkibas, Bardaghat, Triveni and Sunawal in the district. The supporters said that they will continue their strike until their demand was met.
