Normal life in Rupandehi district has been affectd due to the bandh organized by the cadres of United Democratic Madhesi Front. Protesting the agreement reached between major parties to establish 6 states in federal Nepal parties affiliated with the Madhesi Front namely Federal Socialiat Forum Nepal, Tarai Madhes Democratic Party, Sadbhawana Party (Rajendra Mahato) and Sadbhawana Party have organized bandh in Rupandehi. Long route transportation along Bhairahawa and Butal have been disrupted due to the bandh. Similarly factories, school, colleges and banks also remain closed and migrant workers returning from India have been stranded in Belahiya. Large number of security personnels from Nepal Police and APF have been deployed in the main chowks of Bhairahawa and Butwal to prevent any untoward incident.
