The Tharuhat United Struggle Committee along with the Madhesi alliance have padlocked the office of FNCC in Nepalgunj. They padlocked the office while FNCC Nepalgunj chairman Krishna Prashad Shrestha, Central member Sunil Kumar Sharma and other officials were still inside the office. A group of men led by a central committee member of Federal Socialist Forum party Mohammad Ishtiyak Raya padlocked the office at around 6:00 pm in the evening. After the incident, they staged a demonstration at Tribhuwanchowk chanting sloganeering in favour of undivided mid-west. The protesters have been demanding mid-western region to be established as a state and Banke to be made its capital in federal Nepal.
