A group of unidentified men torched a motorcycle in Dang yesterday evening. The group completely burned the motorcycle with number plate Lu 18 pa 2532 in Satbariya-4, Deukhuri. According to police inspector Laxman Bahadur Shahi, a group of 7/8 men stopped Bishnu Prashad Regmi and Dilli Jung Shah of Rukum who were riding the motorcycle in the evening around Satbariya-4. The group checked their bags and body looking for any valuables. When the duo threatened to report to police the group beat them and torched the motorcycle. They were sent to Butwal for treatment. Police are further investigating the incident. Police suspect that criminals were involved in the incident taking advantage of recent Bandh imposed by the Tharuhat groups in Terai.
