Demonstrators on Thursday put up a signboard of Federal Karnali Province on the District Administration Office in the district. On the 12th day of the movement, a group led by UCPN (Maoist) leader Lalit Jung Mahat replaced the government board with the Federal Kanali Province board. According to leader Mahat, police have themselves helped out to put up the signboard. "We had informed the administration office this morning by telephone about our program. Chief District Officer Dipendra Raj Paudel okayed it," leader Mahat told Republica. As per the scheduled programs of the movement, the signboards of the Federal Karnali Province have been hung on the District Administration Office, District Police Office, and the District Development Office today. The demonstrators said no untoward incidents took place owing to the cooperation from the administration side they received while piling pressure on the government to fulfil their demands. However, CDO Dipendra Raj Paudel said that he had no information about the signboards hung on the administration office.
