Kathmandu District Court made a decision of imposing Rs. 3,000 fine to the perpetrator of Caste Discrimination, Jamuna Bhattarai of Kathmandu, Syuchatar. Kalimati Police Circle had arrested Jamuna Bhattarai on March 30, 2015, in accusation of caste-based discrimination. The case was registered by Nepal Police on April 3, 2015, in District Court, Kathmandu. Kathmandu District Court decided a fine of Rs 3,000 to Jamuna Bhattarai under Caste Discrimination Act on August 25, 2015. The verdict was issued by a single bench of justice, Umesh Koirala.
