Protesters have torched a police post in Rangpur, Rautahat yesterday evening. According to SP Pardhumna Karki, there were eight police officers who were working there under sub-inspector Shyam Tamang, but they were shifted earlier before the incident took place. No physical injury has been reported due to the incident. Around 300 protesters reached the police post brandishing homemade weapons and set fire to the police post yesterday evening. The local administration has declared the area as riot-stricken zone.
