At least eight protesters and three police personnel were reportedly injured in Bardiya when cadres of Tharuhat/Tharuwan joint struggles committee clashed against security forces when the latter tried to clear the vehicles taken under control by the protesting cadres. Security forces of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force had to fire eight rounds of tear gas shells and charged baton to take the situation under control. Tharuhat/Tharuwan joint struggle committee intensified its protest from yesterday accusing the government for turning a blind eye towards the demand raised by the community. Tharuhat/Tharuwan and United Democratic Madhesi Front have been protesting against the federal demarcation of the states in the new Constitution.
