Complaint against teacher for breaking a boy's hand in Arghakhanchi

Relatives of a boy filed a complaint at the District Police Office against a teacher at Deurali Primary School in Dhikura VDC-6 on October 14. The family of an 11-year-old  Jivan Thapa accused teacher Mausami Banjade of beating him with a cane on October 12 for not completing a home assignment which left him with a broken left hand. Doctors who treated the boy at the District Hospital confirmed that his hand was broken after the boy visited the hospital upon referral by the local health post. According to the victim, the teacher hit him with the cane for not completing the assignment and his hand hit the bench when he tried to take evasive action. School Inspector Balram Mishra said that actions would be initiated against the teacher as the state has adopted a policy to conduct studies in an environment free of punishment.
