Think-tanks in Tarai have organised a protest rally in Biratnagar on Saturday demanding that the demands of Madhesi morcha should be addressed through talks. The think tanks accused the government of using excessive force to suppress the agitators and attempting to snatch people’s freedom of speech. The participants in the rally waved black flags while holding placards calling for addressing of Madhesi demands. Doctors, engineers, journalists, professors, artists and teachers participated in the rally. Addressing the mass, the speakers stressed on the need for instituting stability in the country through addressing Madhesi demands and said that they were forced to march in streets because of the government’s act of suppression.
