2015-12-08

Madhes, Rautahat, Gaur, Ward 2

Four protesters were injured when they clashed with local people of Gaur, the district headquarters of Rautahat, at Gaur-Bairganiya border point on Tuesday evening. The clash ensued as the Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha (SLMM) activists, who staged a sit-in on the Nepal-India border, misbehaved Rohit Sah of Gaur-2. The protesters stopped Sah while he was returning from the bordering Indian town of Bairganiya with goods purchased for the wedding ceremony. Sah claimed that the SLMM activists beat him and spilled petrol from his motorcycle. The violent clash ensued between the protesters and locals after Sah called his relatives. The security personnel reached the incident site immediately and took the situation under control. The injured are receiving treatment at a local health facility.
