An unidentified group has torched a vehicle belonging to the office of Narayani municipality in Chitawan on Tuesday. The vehicle bearing plate number Ko 1 Cha 2178 was used by the executive officer of the municipality office. The vehicle was torched at Shukranagar which is only 500 meters away from the municipality office. According to eyewitnesses, a group of men first made the municipality executive officer and the driver of the vehicle get off it and then torched it by sprinkling petrol. SP Basant Kunwar of District Police Office Chitwan informed that police have not been able to establish the identity of the men involved in torching the vehicle. He also expressed ignorance as to the intention behind the arson.
