The SLMM activists attempted to obstruct the supply of essentials through Nepalgunj-Rupaidiha border point on Friday. The protesters gathered at the no-man’s-land and tried to disrupt the transportation. Police detained four SLMM activists and foiled their bid to obstruct the border point. Superintendent of Police Basanta Panta said though the Indian authorities are positive about relaxing the border restriction, the protesters are trying to hamstring the movement of cargoes by protesting at the border crossing.
