Health Worker Gets Life Threat for Not Providing Donation

Ram Bilash Chaudhary, 40, Assistant Health Worker (AHB) at Subhang sub-health post in Subhang4 urged the human right activists on August 28 to take steps for his life security. He said that a group Tarai Red Army threatened to kill him for refusing to provide donation.

 

According to the victim, he received a letter from Tarai Red Army in its letter pad on August 14 demanding Rs 200,000 as donation. A masked group threatened him on the night of August 25 leaving a letter which warned him to either pay the amount or die.

 

Inspector of District Police Office, Panchthar Yam Bahadur Paudel said that police initiated immediate investigation after getting the news about the threat. <
