Woman Arrested for Killing New-born

Police have arrested Bal Kumari Nepali, 28, of Dhungade in Kotdarbar-8 on August 25 on charge of killing her new-born baby.

 

She was arrested following a complaint filed against her accusing that she killed and buried her new-born baby boy on August 21 at a nearby jungle.

 

Locals had registered a complaint against her at the District Police Office Tanahun on August 24 after seeing Balkumari bury her baby girl. Police had visited the site and made her take out the body of the baby girl.

 

Inspector Lem Pratap Sen said that the nature of the body suggested that the girl might have been murdered. He added that the body of baby girl was buried at another site in the presence of locals as the body had decomposed.

 

Bal Kumari is unmarried.
