The ballot boxes of the Nepali Congress's village committee election in Naubasta village has been looted by the election agents themselves. The ballot boxes were looted on Friday(Jan 28) during the vote-counting process.
Of the total of 158 votes cast, about 100 had already been counted. After sensing that their faction was about to be defeated in the village committee election two agents of the election escaped in motorcycle carrying along with them the ballot boxes, said DSP Rajib Bahadur Basnet of Area Police Office, Kohalpur. Police have initiated a search for the two.
The village committee election of Naubasta village was conducted at BP memorial secondary school in Banibhar of Naubasta-8 VDC on Friday.
