Local traders from nearby areas – from both sides of the borders – burned down tents set by the agitating Madhesi protesters and chased them away at Nepal-India border in Birgunj on Friday. A group of Indian traders had come to the sit-in site and burned down the tents while some Nepali locals also supported them this afternoon. After that, an empty truck left Birgunj for Raxaul while a number of carts entered Nepal with various goods.
