Neighbor slits child’s throat over land and water dispute in Banke

In order to avenge a dispute over water and land with his parents, a neighbor slit the throat to kill a seven-year-old child in Kohalpur of Banke. The horrific murder of Akash Tharu came into light on Wednesday morning after his body was found near a haystack in the village. The child went missing from his home four days ago, according to the Tharu family. Police arrested five people in connection with the murder, according to the Area Police Office (APO), Kohalpur. Police Inspector Ramesh Awasthi informed that Ghanshyam Chamar, a local of Kohalpur, has been identified as the mastermind of the child's abduction and murder on Sunday. The houses of the accused Chamar and the victim are located opposite to each other. "Chamar has admitted to the crime. He murdered the child after abduction in order to take revenge with his parents Ramshankar and Sitarani Tharu following a dispute over water and land," Inspector Awasthi told Republica.
