Armed gang robs property worth Rs 250,000 from Rautahat house

Property worth around Rs 250,000 was robbed from a house in Matsari VDC-4 of Rautahat district in the wee hours of Tuesday. According to a complaint lodged with the police, an armed gang of around 20 members barged into the house of Nabin Kumar Jha, took all the family members under control by brandishing weapons, and made off with the valuable goods. Police said that Nabin’s son Saroj Kumar a, daughter Pooja, and wife Sarita Debi were beaten black and blue by the robbers before whisking away with the property. According to local Shyam Chandra Jha, the robbers fired in the air and fled the scene after villagers started to make noise. According to the Area Police Office Gangapipara, Saroj and Sarita are receiving treatment at a local clinic.
