An elderly man from Sutaiya village in Thakurdwara VDC-4 was been killed by an unidentified group on Wednesday night. The deceased was identified as Jorasingh Thapa. According to the police 69-year-old  Jorasingh and his wife who were sleeping at the veranda on Wednesday night were attacked with sharp weapons by a group of unidentified men. Jorasingh died on the spot due to the attack while his wife - Basana Thapa sustained injuries on her face. She is undergoing treatment at a local medical clinic. DSP Netramani Giri informed that police are searching for those involved in the incident. Police have meanwhile arrested Ajit Budha of the same village over suspicion of his involvement in the attack.
